Fashion Week Trends Each Sign Needs to Know for AW'19

Woman in red dress fashion trends by zodiac sign

Ok, so with Fashion Weeks happening in four of the world’s biggest fashion hubs, it’s more like Fashion Month. And after following four incredible sets of shows AND street styles for weeks on end, it’s hard to keep track of all the colors, shapes, and pieces you’re going to need come fall.

That’s why we checked our crystal ball (Swarovski, of course) and broke down the trends you need to know based on your zodiac sign.

Aries

Extra Frills

Your bold nature pairs well will just about anything ‘extra,’ so while some might write this super feminine trend off as over-the-top, you’re up for the challenge.

Extra ornate pieces are perfect to be mixed with more masculine pieces or layered into similarly styled pieces for the ultimate dress up day.

Taurus

Cinched Waist Silhouette

Break out your belts and high-waisted everything! Cinched waists are in, come this fall, however you like them best.

Tip – a narrow waist is less about rib-cracking corsetting and more about adding volume above and below your waistline.

Gemini

Statement Pants

Once shorts season is over, opt for pants that speak for themselves. Try on loud prints or maybe pants in a different silhouette or fabric than you’ve been rocking this winter.

Gemini is known for having the gift of gab, and a serious statement pant will help your closet come to match.

Cancer

Fringe

Fringe accented options will be found in just about every mood this fall, so no matter your style du jour, Cancer, you’re set!

Traditional western-inspired fringe will be plenty popular, but you’ll also find also elegantly fringed earrings for evening wear and sassy, metallic fringed pieces.

Platform Shoes

Your first time in a pair of platform shoes can feel a little like playing dress up as a kid – which is what makes this trend perfect for fun-loving Leos.

Styles on the runway ran the full gamut, so come fall, you should have the options to complete your 90’s rock band looks with a grunge pair of platforms as well as inject some 60’s mod into your boot collection.

Tailoring

If you’re looking for some pieces to balance out the athleisure wear vibes all around, shake things up and get a little formal in tailored pieces.

Look for blazers, slacks, and other pieces that your mom would consider ‘interview-ready’ but expect some casual elements that keep your look just short of workwear.

Libra

Full Saturation

Colors are beautifully bold this fall – and the more the merrier!

Look for highly saturated pieces that work as the highlight of the outfit, but start getting comfortable with the idea of mixing a few pieces like that into one show-stopping look.

Scorpio

Beige

Scorpio’s trademark black might need to take a back seat this fall. Head-to-toe beige was all the rage on the runway (and even in street style, so overachievers can start stocking up now).

You can even test this trend by picking up a new (or dusting off your favorite) tan trench coat.

Sagittarius

Contemporary Lace

Lace isn’t just for evening wear anymore.

This fall will see lace used to spice up conservative silhouettes and add a traditional design element into modern, clean looks.

Exaggerated Shoulders

Whether you channel the 80’s power suit and sharp lines or opt for silhouettes that broaden your shoulders more softly, exaggerated shoulders are big news this fall.

Thanks to inventive shapes and designs, you can incorporate this trend in just about any fabric you can think of, so the options are endless.

Aquarius

Colored Suiting

We often associate bright, fun colors with spring and summer, assuming that fall and winter must be made up of dark, traditional colors.

This year, suiting everywhere will buck that trend – in total Aquarius fashion – and opt for more whimsical hues.

Not-so-subtle Bows

Even if your style usually isn’t super feminine, give bows a chance once cooler weather rolls around. Bows are easily adapted to add a little extra oomph to a sweet, soft look or ironically finish off an outfit made of hard lines.

Plus, you have tons of options: hair accessories, a knotted scarf or ribbon, or garments with bows already incorporated.
